Our story
I (Dan) am a retired Naval Flight Officer In the EA6B Prowler tactical jet aircraft. My career was varied and wide ranging. I retired in 1994 after serving my last duty in Naples IT as a Special Agent with the Naval Criminal Investigation Service. (it is possible, I was the last Active Duty Special Agent ever selected for that program) After couple of years working for the state as an investigator I discovered the wonderful world of computers and spent the next 20 years in the IT support field. I retired In 2018 to be a house husband, a job at which I excel!
I (Kathy) am a retired educator, most recently as a middle school Media Specialist for 14 years. I have taught everything from pre-school to high school in Florida, Louisiana and Maryland. As a military wife, I had the opportunity to live in Naples, Italy which further ignited my love of travel. I grew up camping with my family, as my dad was a teacher, and every summer he took us to various universities on the GI Bill. Arizona, New York, Washington and Colorado. We fell in love with that last one, where Dan and I have returned many times over the years. Hopefully, on this trip we will visit Nevada, the last state on my list! This is our first ROAD trip to Alaska and we are so excited!
